We have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Strength & Conditioning to join our team at Loughborough College Group, based at Loughborough College. We are seeking an inspiring and knowledgeable Lecturer in Strength and Conditioning to join our forward‑thinking Higher Education Sport Team. Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, high‑quality teaching across a range of undergraduate modules in Strength and Conditioning.
  • Support students in developing industry‑ready skills through real‑world projects, case studies, and applied learning.
  • Develop and assess student learning through innovative teaching practices and applied learning strategies.
  • Contribute to the design, development, and continuous improvement of our Strength and Conditioning curriculum.
  • Provide academic support to students, promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Build and maintain industry links to enhance student experience and employability opportunities.

Essential Requirements

  • A master’s degree (MSc) in Strength and Conditioning or a closely related discipline (e.g. Sports Science).
  • Demonstrable experience in an applied sports industry setting (e.g. professional clubs or private practices).
  • A passion for education and the ability to motivate and engage students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continued professional development and a passion for education.

Desirable

  • A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE or equivalent), or willingness to work towards one.
  • Experience of teaching in higher education and designing/assessing academic content.
  • UKSCA accreditation or the desire to work towards accreditation.
  • An active interest in research or industry engagement within the field of Strength and Conditioning.
