This role is central to our mission to support learners aged 14+ to achieve vital Maths qualifications, particularly those resitting GCSE Maths. You will play a key role in re‑engaging learners, raising aspirations, and enabling students to progress confidently to their next steps in education, employment or training.

About the Role

  • Deliver high‑quality, inclusive Maths teaching to post‑14 learners, with a strong focus on GCSE resit provision.
  • Inspire and motivate learners who may have previously experienced barriers to success, fostering resilience and a renewed belief in their ability to achieve.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, adaptive lessons that respond to individual starting points and learning needs.
  • Embed a learner‑centred approach, promoting independence, confidence and active participation in learning.
  • Use assessment effectively to monitor progress, inform teaching and ensure all learners make strong progress towards their targets.
  • Contribute to a culture of high expectations, excellent attendance, and positive behaviour for learning.

About You

  • Have experience teaching GCSE Maths, including supporting learners on resit programmes.
  • Have a strong understanding of teaching Maths to post‑14 learners, ideally within further education or similar settings.
  • Place the learner at the centre of your practice, adapting approaches to meet diverse needs and barriers.
  • Be skilled in building positive, respectful relationships that support engagement and achievement.
