The role
- Lead the design and delivery of our English curriculum, from GCSE resits and Functional Skills to adult learning and employer-led programmes.
- Support and develop a committed and talented team of teachers to deliver excellent lessons and outcomes.
- Work with colleagues, schools, employers and awarding bodies to ensure our offer is ambitious, inclusive and future-focused.
- Drive innovation through digital tools, evidence-informed practice and inclusive pedagogy.
About You
- Strong knowledge of English teaching and curriculum development.
- A track record of effective teaching and supporting student progress.
- An understanding of the Education Inspection Framework.
- The ability to lead with confidence: motivating colleagues, setting direction, and driving improvement. You may already be in a formal leadership role, or you may have developed these skills through leading projects, initiatives or teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A Retention Incentive
- A one-off incentive bonus of up to £3,000 may be awarded upon successful completion of the probation period. The exact amount will be determined at the offer stage, based on the candidate\’s skills, experience and current salary.
- Eligibility and incentive level will be assessed in relation to the job specification and required skill set.
- Following successful completion of probation, candidates are required to remain in post for a minimum of 18 months. Early departure will result in full repayment of the incentive
