The predicted salary is between 33459 - 33459 Β£ per year.

Starting salary is Β£33,459 per annum, 37 hours per week for 52 weeks a year. Fixed Term until 31/10/2028.

This dynamic and varied role is integral to the delivery of Suffolk New College’s collaboration with Sizewell C to create a new campus in Leiston, and to meet the skills needs of the Sizewell C project in collaboration with Sizewell C and their supply chain, as well as working across our regional business landscape.

The Building Futures Coordinator will coordinate the following, working collaboratively across college and externally with employers and other stakeholders:

  • Developing a high-quality work experience programme for our T-Level learners at College on the Coast.
  • Liaising with Sizewell C to develop a bespoke version of our ePass soft skills programme with embedded nuclear behaviours.
  • Working with employers to ensure the precise focus of our curriculum at Leiston meets their needs and gives our learners many potential pathways into roles where there is a skills gap.

The postholder will also support the following aspects of our rapid growth in our wider construction and logistics curriculum, liaising with employers and within college to enable:

  • Industry Placements of depth and quality, the perfect start to a new career.
  • Industry staff to take part in our License to Industry Expert programme and support the teaching of specialist curriculum.
  • High quality careers inspiration work, including our FutureSkills Fair and Roadshow events.

They will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a budget for staff training, materials and resources, and travel to ensure we can enable pilot projects and activities to take place in support of the development of the new Campus and the wider staff skills set to deliver against emerging sector needs. The additional budgets will be coordinated by the postholder, with regular reporting on spend and impact.

The ideal candidate will have good networking and project delivery skills, and will be keen to develop their skills in the world of project coordination. You will be confident in engaging with stakeholders and have excellent communication skills. You must also be proactive and a good team player. You will keep the learner experience at the centre of everything you do.

Suffolk New College is a multi-campus college; therefore, you may be required to work at and travel between campuses. This role will be split mainly between the Suffolk Rural and Ipswich campuses, with significant work over time at Suffolk New College on the Coast in Leiston as our links with the Sizewell C project develop. Due to the nature of this role, access to personal transport is essential. If using your own vehicle, it is a requirement for your car insurance to cover business use and evidence of this will be requested by finance before any travel claims are paid.
