About The Role

HSDC is seeking a Lecturer/Teacher of Law to ensure outstanding success and progression through the delivery of inspirational teaching, learning and assessment. This opportunity will suit someone with a passion for both the subject and for student success. The postholder must be self‑motivated and innovative, with the ability to inspire our students.

Responsibilities

  • Planning effectively and delivering high quality teaching, learning, assessment and support, leading to excellent attendance, retention and achievement.
  • To deliver formal scheduled teaching duties, tutorials (as appropriate) and student assessment.
  • To record, share and regularly monitor student progress using College information systems.
  • To prepare learning plans, schemes of work, keep relevant records and undertake all administration relevant to teaching duties.
  • To attend parents’ evenings, marketing and promotional events.

Requirements

  • Level 5 or equivalent Teaching Qualification such as Certificate in Education or PGCE or willingness to work towards this.
  • High level of specialist knowledge of the subject area.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in teaching the subject area to full‑time or part‑time students (Desirable).
  • Degree in relevant subject (Desirable).
