We are looking for an experienced lecturer in health and social care to join our supportive and friendly team in the School of Service Industries at the Thurrock campus. The team is committed to supporting the needs of the local community through high-quality teaching, learning, tutorials and enrichment activities for learners on programmes from E3 to level 3.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and innovative teaching, learning and tutoring to a range of learners across E3 to level 3 programmes.
- Plan, design and assess learning resources and activities that meet the standards of college and awarding organisations.
- Provide enrichment and support activities to enhance the overall learning experience.
- Attend marketing and recruitment events as required.
Key Qualifications
- Relevant subject qualification (HND or above).
- Teaching qualification.
- Recent industry experience in health or social care.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a professional approach to student support.
- High level of IT skills and the ability to meet quality standards set by the college and awarding bodies.
- Understanding of BTEC, NCFE, gateway qualifications and the T levels is desirable.
- Willingness to travel and work flexibly to meet the needs of the campus and its learners.
