About The Role

As an Apprenticeship Skills Advisor, you will be responsible for conducting workplace progress reviews, monitoring apprentice development and ensuring learners remain engaged, supported and on track to achieve their qualifications.

Working closely with apprentices, employers and curriculum teams, you will provide holistic support that promotes personal development, wellbeing and career progression. You will play a vital role in embedding British Values, Prevent, safeguarding and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) throughout the apprenticeship journey.

Duties

  • Conducting structured progress reviews with apprentices and employers.
  • Monitoring learner progress, wellbeing and engagement.
  • Supporting apprentices to develop resilience, confidence, employability skills and professional behaviours.
  • Providing careers information, advice and guidance to support long-term career aspirations.
  • Encouraging participation in skills competitions, enrichment opportunities and professional development activities.
  • Working collaboratively with employers to maximise workplace learning and development opportunities.
  • Maintaining accurate learner records in line with funding and regulatory requirements.
  • Promoting safeguarding, Prevent, British Values and EDI across all apprenticeship programmes.
  • Supporting apprentices to access additional support and development opportunities where required.
  • Maintaining learner tracking

Ideal Attributes

We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting learners to succeed and who can build positive relationships with apprentices, employers and colleagues.

Qualifications

  • GCSE Grade 4/C (or equivalent Level 2 qualification) in English and Maths.

Experience

  • Experience of coaching, mentoring or reviewing learners in an educational, training or workplace environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion principles.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience working within apprenticeships or work-based learning.
  • Knowledge of Ofsted requirements relating to personal development and safeguarding.
