We are seeking a creative and organised Demonstrator / Facilitator in Visual Arts to support our Fashion, Textiles and Visual Arts provision on a 0.8 FTE fixed-term contract until the end of the academic year.
Candidates must have experience of working with specialist fashion machinery and equipment in order to provide technical and workshop support, helping learners and staff with the safe use of specialist equipment, materials and creative processes across fashion, textiles, printmaking and related disciplines.
Key Responsibilities- Support practical teaching sessions and learner workshops
- Demonstrate safe use of specialist machinery, tools and materials
- Prepare resources, equipment and displays for lessons and exhibitions
- Maintain stock, workshops and equipment
- Support learner projects, portfolios and events
- Ensure health and safety procedures are followed
- Degree in Art, Fashion, Textiles or related subject
- Experience with specialist fashion machinery, equipment and processes
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to support learners and work as part of a team
- FE or education experience desirable
