Key Tasks And Responsibilities
- 1st / 2nd line support
- Deploy hardware and software throughout the college
- Assist in the operation of the IT Helpdesk system, ensuring problems and requests are dealt with in a timely manner, in line with the IT Services Level Agreement
- Update the College’s IT hardware register and keep equipment records up to date
- Assist with asset registering and disposal of IT equipment in line with applicable directives (WEEE)
- Support technologies including desktops, laptops, tablets, and print devices
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year’s experience in a PC support role
- 1st line support experience
- NVQ level 3, A Level or equivalent in IT, Maths and English GCSE (Grade A-D) or equivalent
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and desktop products
- Ability to analyze and solve problems in a timely fashion
- Team-oriented with enjoyment of working closely in a cooperative effort with others
