Key Tasks And Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high‑quality teaching and learning in line with curriculum and awarding body requirements for Level 1 to Level 3 Digital courses.
- Pastoral tutor to Level 2 learners.
- Apply Microsoft 365 applications effectively across teaching and assessment, demonstrating strong proficiency in Excel, Access and Word.
- Utilise advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities to support teaching and assessment, including data analysis, automation through macros, advanced functions, and the creation of interactive dashboards and reports.
- Deliver high-quality teaching in web and software development, including HTML, CSS, Python, JavaScript and PHP.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in web and software development, covering technologies such as HTML, CSS, Python, JavaScript and PHP, ensuring learners develop both theoretical understanding and practical skills.
- Assess learner work and provide timely, constructive feedback to support progress and achievement.
- Monitor and record learner attendance, progress and achievement using college systems.
- Prepare learners for assessments, examinations and external verification.
- Maintain accurate course and assessment documentation in line with quality assurance requirements.
- Support learners’ academic and personal development, promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing.
- Embed English, maths, digital skills, equality, diversity and safeguarding within teaching practice.
- Contribute to course review, self‑assessment and continuous improvement activities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and engage in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications And Experience
- Essential: Degree in a Digital Subject
- Desirable: Teaching Qualification
- Experience working in further education
