We have an opportunity to join our exceptional Student Services team here at Bradford College as a Student Union Administrator. The Student Union Administrator plays a key role within the Personal Development and Students’ Union Team, delivering high-quality, proactive, and student-centred support to enable students to thrive in their studies and wider college life. In addition, the role supports the Personal Development Team by assisting with the organisation and administration of enrichment activities, events and programmes designed to enhance student development, engagement, and wellbeing. Please note that this is a Part Time, Term Time Only role working 14 hours per week, 42 weeks per year.
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide academic and welfare advice to students via in person appointments, drop ins, email, telephone and online.
- Support students to make informed decisions by providing clear, impartial, and confidential guidance.
- Advocate on behalf of students with the College and relevant external organisations when required and authorised.
- Signpost and refer students to internal and external specialist support services as appropriate.
- Monitor casework data and student feedback to evaluate service effectiveness and identify recurring themes.
- Provide regular updates and briefings to Students’ Union Officers and staff.
- Support the development of evidence-based campaigns and policy recommendations informed by advice data.
- Provide general administrative support to the Students’ Union, including minute‑taking, correspondence and maintaining stock of publicity materials and other inventory.
- Support purchase order processing, data input, and record keeping for key projects and services.
- Coordinate updates to maintain the Union’s communication channels.

Education & Training:
- GCSE 4 – 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in Maths, or be prepared to pass a test before the interview to demonstrate level 2 ability, and then, if appointed, achieve within an agreed timescale.

Experience:
- Experience of working or volunteering in an education, training, or support services setting.
- Experience providing advice or guidance in an educational, youth, or charitable setting.
- Experience supporting young people or students facing welfare or academic issues.
- Experience of negotiation, advocacy, and partnership working.
- Experience producing reports or insight from data.
- Experience developing or supporting projects or campaigns.
- Experience of administrative or front‑of‑house duties in a busy office.
