The Financial Reporting Team at Blackburn College plays an important role in the financial management of the College, providing a true Business Partnering service to the Budget-holders across the College. As Assistant Accountant, you will support the Financial Reporting Manager and Finance Business partners in that important role. You will develop your skills under the supervision of the team.
What we are looking for:
- Applicants who have a Finance Qualification to at least Level 3, preferably Level 4 (will consider QBE).
- NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent), including English and Maths.
- Experience of working with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and Word.
- Recent and extensive experience of working in a similar role.
- A good understanding and experience of double entry and completing Reconciliations.
