Because the student experience is at the very centre of everything we do, we are looking for a passionate individual with a background in Creative Media. We require someone who holds a degree or alternative professional qualification in a subject relevant to the area you will be teaching. We are seeking individuals to join our team as Creative Media lecturers for our Animation and Games Development qualifications.

The ideal candidates should possess a diverse set of skills and experiences to effectively teach in these areas. Candidates should have proficiency in at least some of the following:

  • game design
  • 3D rigging
  • C# or C++ coding languages
  • mixed reality (VR/AR) experiences
  • narrative structures
  • compositing
  • visual coding in Unity or Unreal Engine
  • graphic design
  • digital marketing
  • 2D animation

The successful candidates will bring their expertise to inspire and educate our students, preparing them for success in the creative media industry. You will deliver first class teaching on related subjects. Working within an established and evolving team you will demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching in FE.

In line with the role requirements for this role, the successful candidate is to hold a recognised teaching qualification. This may be a CertEd, DTLLS or DET, or PGCE. If you do not hold a recognised teaching qualification, candidates will be expected to enrol on a teaching course after passing probation. This is a contractual requirement of the role.

Good understanding of the current Government and national priorities for FE and skills. This will be based in our Basildon campus.
