Join Our Team as a Business Administrator – Commercial and Sales! Are you an organised, customer-focused professional looking to make an impact in a dynamic environment? South Essex College is on a mission to grow its commercial course offerings, apprenticeships, and client base. We’re seeking a Business Administrator – Commercial and Sales to join our Business Development team.
Location: Luckyn Lane, Basildon.
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours/week (Monday–Friday).
Responsibilities
- Ensure a seamless experience for clients, from booking to post-course completion.
- Manage bookings, process payments, and maintain accurate CRM records.
- Support marketing efforts for training courses and attend events as needed.
- Collaborate with the Head of the Adult College on administrative tasks to meet client expectations.
- Communicate professionally with clients, providing information and resolving queries.
- Monitor course outcomes and ensure timely registration and certification.
- Research and propose innovative ideas to boost sales and awareness of our courses.
What We’re Looking For (Qualifications and Skills)
- Proven experience in business administration and excellent organisational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities with a focus on customer service.
- Competence in time management and attention to detail.
- A business administration qualification (desirable but not essential).
- Professional, approachable demeanour with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
