We are looking for an Associate Governor for Fircroft College. If you don’t have the time to commit to a full Governor role but have the skills and expertise to contribute, you may be interested. The role supports the college’s future, liaises with the Assistant Principal, Business Support and Development, and provides input on estates and sustainability projects. Attendance at Governing Body meetings is not required, but occasional presence at Operations Committee meetings is appreciated.

Qualifications

  • Experience of leading small/medium capital projects
  • Experience of support services such as estates, facilities, catering
  • Knowledge of planning and building regulations
  • Knowledge of health and safety and incident management

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with the Assistant Principal, Business Support and Development regarding estates and sustainability projects.
  • Provide input on relevant projects and initiatives.
  • Occasionally attend Operations Committee meetings.
