Introduction

Hackney is currently recruiting across multiple Adults’ Social Care teams, with opportunities for experienced Social Workers, Senior Practitioners, and Deputy Heads of Service. Whether you're working in Integrated LD, Hospital Discharge, or Access & Duty, these are well-supported, hybrid locum roles within one of London’s most progressive boroughs.

These roles are ideal for confident practitioners ready to step into fast-paced teams and contribute to strong multi-agency working and strengths-based practice.

Adults Social Worker – Integrated Learning Disabilities Team – £32ph

Senior Practitioner – Integrated LD – £36ph

ASW (Approved Social Worker) – Hospital Integrated Discharge Team – £32ph

Deputy Head of Service – Initial Contact and Response – £450 Per Day

Social Worker – Access & Duty Team – £32ph

Deputy HoS & Principal Therapy Lead (OT) – £450 Per Day

Experience and Qualifications

To apply for these roles, you must have:

  • A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • For OT roles, HCPC registration and relevant OT qualification
  • At least 1 year’s post-qualified experience in Adults’ statutory services
  • Experience relevant to the advertised team (e.g. hospital discharge, integrated LD, duty access)
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
