We’re looking for a Senior Paid Media Specialist to take ownership of our high-value, complex paid search activity. This is a senior specialist role for someone who wants to operate with real autonomy, manage meaningful commercial risk and influence performance decisions — without stepping away from hands‑on delivery.
What you’ll do:
- You’ll own the day‑to‑day performance of our paid search channels, operating as a senior technical authority within the Paid Media team.
- Take full ownership of delivering and scaling complex paid search campaigns across Google Ads and other relevant platforms.
- Apply deep technical judgement across bidding strategy, structure, keywords and pacing.
- Manage and optimise significant budgets where small decisions carry large commercial impact.
- Define and own structured testing strategies to improve efficiency, conversion and ROI.
- Diagnose performance issues methodically, not reactively — spotting intent drift, auction pressure or inefficiencies.
- Analyse performance using tools such as GA4 and Looker Studio to surface insight and opportunity.
- Work closely with SEO, Content and Design to improve landing page and user journey performance.
- Represent Paid Search confidently in cross‑team discussions, providing clear, evidence‑led perspective.
You’ll also contribute to documentation, best practice and knowledge sharing, helping raise capability across the Paid Media team — without formal line management responsibility.
Your profile:
What you’ll bring:
- Significant hands‑on experience in paid media, with around 5 years’ experience working in commercial, performance‑led environments.
- At least 2–3 years operating at a senior or equivalent level, owning performance outcomes, making autonomous decisions and influencing direction without formal line management.
- Proven experience owning paid search performance end to end in a commercial, results‑led environment.
- Strong technical expertise across Google Ads (and ideally Microsoft Ads).
- Experience managing significant budgets and commercial risk.
- Confidence explaining performance, trade‑offs and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- A calm, structured approach to optimisation in fast‑moving environments.
Nice To Have:
- Google Ads or Microsoft Advertising certifications.
- Experience with automation, scripts or AI‑driven optimisation tools.
- Familiarity with CRO, GTM, Unbounce or similar tooling.
What’s in it for you:
Pay & Performance:
- Annual pay review.
- Benefits package worth £7,000+ per year.
- Two paid weeks off at Christmas (on top of annual leave).
- Paid day off for your birthday and work anniversary.
- Bupa Medical & Dental cover (post probation).
- Free city‑centre parking worth £1,600+.
- Enhanced pension contributions.
- Monthly takeaway Fridays and regular socials.
Growth & Development:
- Senior technical ownership without people management.
- Space to innovate, test and refine advanced approaches.
- Ongoing learning to stay at the cutting edge of paid search.
Flexibility That Works:
- Flexitime between 6am and 8pm, with no core hours.
- Flexibility that works — for you, your team and the people we partner with.
- No weekend grind. No missed bank holidays. Never a Christmas or New Year in the office again.
If you’re ready to solve complex problems and drive serious performance, this is your move.
