We are currently seeking an experienced Housing Paralegal to join our expanding litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving and growing firm with access to high-quality litigation work. Role Overview
The successful candidate will assist fee earners and manage their own caseload (where appropriate) across a range of civil litigation matters. You must be confident handling files from inception through to resolution and be comfortable working within the Civil Procedure Rules framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the management of civil litigation files from start to finish
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements, and applications
- Preparing court bundles and disclosure documents
- Issuing proceedings and filing documents at court
- Drafting cost schedules where required
- Liaising with clients, counsel, and the courts
- Advising clients on procedure and litigation risks under supervision
- Maintaining high standards of client care
- Meeting performance and file progression targets
Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in litigation matters
- Strong understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR)
- Experience drafting court documents and correspondence
- Ability to issue proceedings independently
- Understanding of litigation costs and risk
- Pragmatic and commercially aware approach to case handling
- Excellent client care and communication skills
Bonuses OTE £35K. Bonus on top of salary based on performance. Opportunity to lead and grow a team. Monday to Friday.
