Our 14-16 cohort includes Electively Home Educated learners, students infilling from schools and academies, and discrete groups commissioned by partner schools and academies. The postholder will inherit a well-functioning provision, strong partnerships, and a committed team, with scope to further shape and enhance this successful area. Safeguarding plays a crucial part of the job and you will act as First Response Officer for all Pre-16 and Schools Safeguarding concerns with responsibility for coordinating an appropriate response through liaison with students, tutors, school Designated Safeguarding Leads, Local Authorities and Social Care.

You will have the ability to build positive relationships and inspire and motivate your colleagues to deliver a great learning experience for our students. You will have line management responsibility for a small team of 14-16 colleagues that provide essential communication with parents, schools and other key stakeholders.

As Assistant Head, you will drive high standards of professional practice, ensure planning of teaching, learning and assessment is effective and lead employer/stakeholder engagement in your subjects to ensure we develop the requisite knowledge, skills and behaviours to support outstanding student attainment in exams to help our students to secure positive destinations.
