The Role
As a lecturer you will be part of a curriculum team, contributing to the growth and development of the Hair and Beauty programmes within the School of Customer Services Industries. This includes a strong focus on retention, pass rates and student achievement alongside pastoral support, curriculum design/development and ensuring a high standard of quality provision is offered.
What we are looking for:
- Minimum level 3 qualification in hair and a level 2 or above qualification in Barbering
- Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths (or equivalent)
- Recognised teaching qualification or willingness to obtain it within two years of employment
- Experience of teaching across different levels of Hair and Barbering programmes in a Further Education environment
- Current industrial experience and up-to-date knowledge of current industrial practice
- A1 Assessors Qualification or equivalent and a V1 Internal Quality Assurance Award or willingness to work towards these qualifications
