Lecturer in Construction – Plumbing

GBP27,185 to GBP41,014 pro rata, per annum

The Role

As a Lecturer you\’ll be part of a curriculum team, contributing to the growth and development of the Construction programs within the Technical Centre. This includes focusing on retention, achievement, and student success, alongside pastoral support, curriculum design/development, and ensuring a high standard of quality provision is offered.

Using a range of learning styles, you\’ll take responsibility for your quality of teaching and related curriculum development that meets learner needs. You\’ll assess and record learners\’ progress according to procedures set out by the appropriate awarding body, while liaising with internal and external bodies, including award-winning examination boards.

You\’ll teach on a range of courses at level 1 to level 3 including full time, part time and apprentices.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a qualified, enthusiastic and highly motivated individual with experience of working in the plumbing sector.

Ideally, you\’ll hold a PGCE or another recognised teaching qualification. However, we welcome applicants without prior experience in the education sector who possess relevant and transferable skills. Equally we would welcome with relevant assessment qualifications (TAQA/A1) and evidence of continual personal development.

With excellent interpersonal skills, you\’ll have the ability to relate to a wide and diverse student population.
