Lecturer in Animal Care Salary Lecturer Scale points 23 – 37: £27,185 – £41,014 per annum gross The Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lecturer in Animal Care to join our dynamic team at Blackburn College. This is a new and exciting curriculum area, offering the opportunity to shape and deliver innovative and engaging learning experiences. The successful candidate will primarily teach Level 1 learners, with the potential to expand into Levels 2 and 3 as the provision grows. This role is ideal for someone passionate about animal welfare and education, with a commitment to supporting learners of all abilities to achieve their full potential through creative and inclusive teaching approaches. What are we looking for. You will have a UK Honours degree or UK ENIC recognised degree in a related field along with Industry experience in animal care or related sectors. You will also need to have a recognised teaching qualification (or to achieve within 2 years of appointment) and experience of working with or teaching young people, particularly at Level 1 in a Further Education environment.
