The Role

As a Part Time Hourly Paid Lecturer in Maths you will be responsible for delivering GCSE and Functional Skills Maths to learners aged 14 to 19 on study programmes. You will play a key part in supporting student attendance, achievement and success, while also contributing to curriculum development that links Maths to vocational areas. A strong focus on maintaining high standards of teaching and learning is essential.

What are we looking for?

  • We are looking for a highly motivated individual who holds a Level 4 or above qualification in a relevant subject and either possesses a recognised teaching qualification or is willing to work towards one within two years of appointment.
  • You should have experience teaching Maths to 14-19 year olds and demonstrate a sound understanding of current developments in Maths education.
  • The successful candidate will be well-organised, collaborative, and flexible in their approach to work.

All hourly paid part time staff receive pay the month following the month in which hours are worked.
