Hours: 22.5 hours per week, all year round

Duration: Permanent

Salary: £20,363.72 (unqualified teacher/assessor) to £23,404.26 (qualified teacher/assessor) pro‑rated, per annum with benefits

Location: Rotherham College, Rotherham (with offsite travel within South Yorkshire and surrounding areas)

The Role:

  • Use industry insight to develop the Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours that modern employers crave.
  • Conduct on‑site performance reviews and assessments, ensuring apprentices meet the highest professional standards.
  • Track progress through e‑portfolios, keeping everyone from the student to the employer on the path to success.

Qualifications:

  • Industry Roots: Solid experience in Joinery or Woodworking.
  • Trade Credentials: An NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant wood trade.
  • The Right Tools: An A1/V1 Assessor Award and a Level 5 Teaching Qualification (or the drive to work toward them with our support).
  • People Skills: The ability to build strong relationships with a diverse range of learners and partner organisations.

You will report to the Work‑Based Learning Team Leader, working alongside a collaborative team of Curriculum Managers and Lecturers.
