The Role
As a Part Time Hourly Paid Lecturer in Maths you will be responsible for delivering GCSE and Functional Skills Maths to learners aged 14 to 19 on study programmes. You will play a key part in supporting student attendance, achievement and success, while also contributing to curriculum development that links Maths to vocational areas. A strong focus on maintaining high standards of teaching and learning is essential.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who holds a Level 4 or above qualification in a relevant subject and either possesses a recognised teaching qualification or is willing to work towards one within two years of appointment. You should have experience teaching Maths to 14-19 year olds and demonstrate a sound understanding of current developments in Maths education. The successful candidate will be well‐organised, collaborative, and flexible in their approach to work.
All hourly paid part time staff receive pay the month following the month in which hours are worked, e.g. hours worked in November are paid.
