The Role

You will play a key role in the coordination, delivery, assessment and quality assurance of the Primary PGCE programme. The post involves teaching and supporting trainee teachers, undertaking school-based observations, and contributing to the effective organisation and administration of the programme. Working closely with placement schools and university partners, you will help ensure a high-quality training experience that prepares trainees for successful careers in primary education.

What are we looking for?

We are seeking a suitably qualified individual with relevant experience of teaching within a primary school setting, who is able to deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment within Initial Teacher Training. Experience of supporting, mentoring or assessing trainee teachers or students, alongside a strong understanding of the Teachers’ Standards and knowledge of ITT/PGCE requirements would be advantageous and will support your ability to contribute effectively to the ongoing development of the programme.
