The Role

To provide support to the Health & Safety Manager in providing a clear and strategic operational direction on Health, Safety and Environment, ensuring the business is legally compliant and continuously improving. To monitor and audit adherences to the company HSE Management System, enabling an outstanding Health & Safety Environment culture and infrastructure.

The postholder will be based initially at our Training 2000 site based at Furthergate Business Park, Harwood Street, Blackburn, but the position would be expected to travel to all campus sites as part of the role.

  • You’ll have solid experience in an HSE role within a medium-to-large organisation.
  • You’ll be confident in developing and rolling out new health and safety initiatives, as well as carrying out a wide range of risk assessments.
  • We’re looking for someone who enjoys working collaboratively and can bring people with them.
  • You will need to be resilient, organised and comfortable juggling deadlines, all while maintaining a calm, solution-focused approach.
  • Just as importantly, you’ll have the confidence and credibility to influence senior leaders and help drive a positive safety culture across the organisation.
