The Role
As a key member of the College’s Leadership Team and one of a team of Heads of School, you will report to the Executive Director of Student Support and Experience and lead the efficient running of all aspects of the English and Maths School. Deliver the departmental business plan and achieve targets in curriculum, student recruitment, achievement, quality, finance, people and corporate services. Provide academic planning and operational leadership at the school level, and oversee educational, scholarship and professional practice across the School.
What are we looking for?
- Enthusiastic, highly motivated individual with a degree‑level qualification in Maths or English, or equivalent experience in an educational setting, and a recognised teaching qualification at Level 4 or above.
- Recent background working within the FE sector in a key management role, with a track record of successful curriculum management and experience delivering English and Maths intervention programmes with measurable impact.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to inspire confidence and commitment, and build positive relationships to drive continuous improvement.
- Willingness to work towards or hold a leadership and management qualification.
