About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Marketing Manager who genuinely loves building excitement, getting people talking, and bringing a brand’s story to life. Only Curls is growing quickly, and this is a chance to join us at a really exciting moment. In this role, you’ll take the lead on how we show up online and how we make noise in a way that feels true to our community. You’ll shape our social strategy, create the kind of content people want to share, and find smart, creative ways to keep the conversation going. You’ll run integrated campaigns across all channels, with a big focus on social-first ideas, community-led storytelling, and building global brand awareness. We move fast, so you’ll have the space to experiment, take risks, and see your ideas become reality without layers of red tape. You’ll work closely with the founder, giving you both the freedom to make meaningful decisions and the opportunity to help steer what the next stage of Only Curls looks like.
About You
You’re a social-first marketer who knows how to spark conversation and keep people engaged. You’ve grown brands by tapping into community, content, and creators and you know how to turn trends into campaigns that actually perform. You’ve worked across core channels (especially social and influencer) and know how to create consistency and impact across PR, email, paid, SEO, affiliate and retail. You’re comfortable setting strategy and rolling up your sleeves - whether planning content, jumping on viral moments or leading shoots. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are motivated by scaling brands globally. You know how to make noise, move fast and deliver results.
What you’ll do
- Social Media, Influencer & Community: Take full ownership of our social presence and make Only Curls impossible to scroll past, driving excitement, engagement and those delicious viral spikes. Come up with and direct standout content, whether it’s quick‑fire Reels, behind‑the‑scenes moments or full‑blown shoot days. Shape our voice, tone and overall vibe across every platform, keeping us culturally tuned‑in, playful and always ahead of the algorithm. Lead and inspire a small but mighty team of three, creating an environment where ideas fly and creativity grows. Build genuine community energy through events, pop‑ups, collabs and those “OMG did you see this?” moments that get people talking. Oversee our creator, ambassador and affiliate network by championing partnerships that elevate our voice and get curls everywhere the love they deserve.
- Marketing Strategy & Brand Direction: Own the global marketing calendar and turn big brand ambition into campaigns that stop thumbs and start conversations. Lead the planning process so every touchpoint, from launch moments to daily content, lands with purpose and punch.
- Messaging & Brand Voice: Be the keeper of our brand voice, warm, fun, inclusive and instantly recognisable. Shape the words behind our campaigns, social, paid ads, emails and landing pages. Brief creative and media partners in a way that’s clear, energising and aligned with where we’re heading.
- PR, Brand Campaigns & Partnerships: Collaborate with our PR team to spark stories, land headlines and keep Only Curls on the radar. Lead the planning for ATL campaigns - TV, OOH retail and anything else that gets heads turning.
- Email, Content & Retention: Partner with Ecommerce and our email agency to continue our successful email marketing strategy. Ensure email content aligns with marketing calendar. Approve final content to maintain consistency, accuracy, and strategic impact. Work with SEO partners to create useful, high‑intent, educational content that drives organic growth and builds trust. Own affiliate strategy and partnerships, spotting smart opportunities to spread the Only Curls love far and wide.
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years of marketing experience, ideally within a DTC or Ecommerce brand
- Strong background in social media, campaign planning, and brand communications
- Proven experience leading influencer and ambassador strategies
- Strong understanding of cultural trends and digital storytelling
- Experience with retention marketing and creating compelling email content
- Strong understanding of SEO content strategies
- Experience leading integrated campaigns (ATL or retail marketing a plus)
- Excellent organisational and project management skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Comfortable in a fast‑paced, hands‑on startup environment
Nice to Have
- International or multi‑market campaign experience
- Experience in fashion, beauty, or lifestyle brands
- Event planning or experiential marketing background
- Knowledge of affiliate networks (e.g., AWIN) and social analytics tools
