Y Bryncynan is a food-led pub on the Llŷn Peninsula — stone-built, coastal, with a loyal local following and a kitchen that takes its food seriously. We're a new operation building something proper, and we're looking for a CDP who wants to be part of it.

The food

  • Fresh, seasonal, made in-house.
  • 48-hour braised beef ragu, dry-aged Welsh pork belly with cider and wholegrain mustard, house focaccia and sourdough, fresh chicken & wild mushroom gnocchi, Menai mussels, slow-cooked Welsh beef, Welsh rarebit crumpets, beer-battered fish.
  • Tight menu, local produce front and centre, no shortcuts and no freezer-to-fryer.
  • You’ll have genuine input into specials and a real chance to put your stamp on what we serve.

What you’ll be doing

  • Running your section to the Head Chef’s standards across prep and service.
  • Contributing to specials using fresh, local ingredients.
  • Holding food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Working closely with kitchen and FOH — we run a calm, well-communicated service.
  • Helping manage stock and flagging shortages early.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience at CDP level (or strong commis ready to step up) in a fresh-food kitchen.
  • Comfortable across multiple sections in a busy service.
  • Real care about what goes on the plate.
  • A team player — we take kitchen culture as seriously as the food.

The package

  • £13.50+ per hour depending on experience.
  • Tronc on top.
  • Paid fortnightly.
  • Live-in accommodation available — quality room on-site, walking distance to the kitchen.
  • 5 days per week, structured rota communicated in advance — no last-minute surprises.
  • Permanent, year-round contract — we trade 12 months.
  • Free meals on shift, staff discount off duty.
  • Free on-site parking.
  • Genuine progression as the business grows.
