We are looking for a passionate, high-energy Chef to lead the kitchen in our intimate Caribbean restaurant. You won’t just be following recipes; you’ll be the heart of our kitchen, responsible for delivering the bold, soulful flavours that define us.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety & Sanitation: Uphold rigorous food safety and hygiene standards and ensure that all kitchen staff members do the same.
  • Culinary Execution: Prepare and cook by following current methods and recipes in preparation of meals.
  • Kitchen Management: Manage daily food prep, inventory levels, and ordering from local suppliers to ensure ingredients are always fresh.
  • Quality Control: Maintain high standards of plating, portion control, and flavour consistency during busy service windows.
  • Team Leadership: Train and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a positive, collaborative atmosphere.
  • Extra Duties: Occasionally take on extra duties when arisen, especially when the kitchen is short-staffed, during outside catering events, or when the restaurant is particularly busy.
  • Work Schedule: Oversee working hours for kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of activities in the kitchen and the restaurant at large.
  • Customers: Ensure that meals are prepared and served to customers in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and Maintain Stock Levels: Place orders for supplies as needed.
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with ownership to refine seasonal specials and modern twists on classic Caribbean food.
Skills and Knowledge
