We are a welcoming, family run country pub looking for an experienced and passionate Chef to join our close knit team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled chef who takes pride in their cooking and wants to become part of a friendly, supportive, and family oriented environment.

Our kitchen focuses on delivering a twist on classic traditional pub food, using quality ingredients to create fresh, seasonal dishes that our guests love. We are looking for someone who shares our passion for great food, consistency, and creating a memorable dining experience.

The Role

As our Sole Chef, you will take responsibility for the day to day running of the kitchen, including preparing and delivering high quality dishes across our service periods. You will have the opportunity to bring creativity to the menu while maintaining the traditional pub favourites our customers know and enjoy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing and cooking fresh, high quality pub dishes to a consistently high standard
  • Creating and developing menu ideas with a modern twist on traditional favourites
  • Managing kitchen operations during service
  • Maintaining excellent food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards
  • Ordering, stock control, and minimising waste
  • Ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen service
  • Working closely with the pub team to deliver a welcoming experience for every guest

About You

  • Previous experience working as a chef in a pub, restaurant, or similar kitchen environment
  • Genuine passion for good food and traditional cooking with a creative edge
  • Can work independently while becoming an important part of our team
  • Takes pride in presentation, quality, and consistency
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Enjoys being part of a friendly, community focused pub environment
