The historic, community-owned Drewe Arms in Drewsteignton was bought by the community in 2023 and reopened in 2024. We are now looking for a chef de partie (4-5 shifts per week) to complete our friendly kitchen team. If you think you’d like to be part of this, read on and look at the video below.

Our kitchen has a small kitchen in the heart of the pub and we are slowly upgrading to ensure service is smooth and effective. If successful, you will be working alongside/overlapping with our dedicated and hard-working head chef to deliver food that will keep our customers coming back for more.

If successful you will be:
- Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes within the speciality section
- Assisting the Head Chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes
- Assisting with the management of health and safety
- Assisting with the management of food hygiene practices
- Monitoring portion and waste control
- Contributing to the maintenance of kitchen and food safety standards
Ideally we are looking for someone with the following qualifications and experience:
- Level 2 Food Safety Awards
- Minimum 1 years relevant experience
- Experience of kitchen equipment
- Understandable level of English spoken and written
- Must be able to drive due to rural location
