We are looking for experienced and passionate cooks to join us at Teesside International Airport. Due to the upcoming busy summer period we have multiple positions available. You will be joining an established, dynamic team, supporting our local airport to thrive. The role will close on the 18th of June - please note applying after this date may mean that your application will not be viewed.

Role Summary

The Cook will be responsible for preparing and serving meals to the highest quality ensuring environmental health due diligence.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • To monitor and maintain consistent food standards and quality across all areas and during all stages of production and supply.
  • To ensure quality control measures and hygiene systems are achieved at all times.
  • Meal preparation, cooking and delivering food to diners in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure safety and environmental health practices in the kitchen are implemented and actively enforced, including familiarizing yourself with Teesside International Airport Health and Safety Policies and ensuring your areas promote and comply with them.
  • Stock rotation and use by dates for the production of food are followed and food is produced so as not to contribute to wastage.
  • Keeping the kitchen, all utensils and equipment to the highest standard of cleanliness always, ensuring all work surfaces are kept clean and tidy.
  • To maintain all equipment within the catering operation through due care and diligence as instructed.
  • To notify the Food & Beverage Manager regarding engineer call outs for all repairs on catering equipment, unless otherwise instructed.
  • To ensure operational areas are properly prepared for all functions each day.

  • Food hygiene level 2/3
  • Strong knowledge of proper food handling and environmental standards.
  • Ability to work and lead in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Self-motivated, flexible and enthusiastic.
