About Qinwan Café
Qinwan Café is an exciting new café concept opening within The Chancery Rosewood in London. The café will offer a refined yet welcoming environment, serving exceptional coffee, teas, and a carefully curated selection of ice cream, patisseries, dates and sandwiches. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Barista to join our opening team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping the coffee programme and delivering an outstanding café experience in a luxury hospitality setting.
Role Overview
The Barista will be responsible for leading the coffee service at Qinwan Café, ensuring exceptional drink quality, maintaining high standards of coffee preparation, and supporting the training and development of the barista team. Working closely with the Café Manager, Supervisor and Waiter, you will help ensure smooth daily operations while creating a welcoming and professional coffee experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Coffee Quality & Service
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso‑based beverages, Arabic coffee, Turkish coffee and karak.
- Ensure consistency and excellence in every drink served.
- Maintain high standards of coffee presentation and service.
- Share knowledge and passion for coffee with guests.
- Team Leadership
- Support and guide the barista team during service.
- Assist with training and development of new baristas.
- Lead by example in delivering excellent service and product quality.
- Support the Café Manager with day‑to‑day operations.
- Operational Support
- Assist with opening and closing procedures.
- Monitor coffee stock levels and assist with ordering.
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained and cleaned.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workspace.
- Product Knowledge
- Maintain strong knowledge of coffee beans, brewing techniques, and equipment.
- Assist in maintaining coffee recipes and preparation standards.
- Ensure drinks are prepared consistently according to café standards.

- Previous experience as a Barista.
- Strong experience preparing specialty coffee in a busy café environment.
