Role Overview

The successful candidate will support the delivery of a diverse menu offering, including breakfast, lunch, evening meals, and function catering. Working under the guidance of senior chefs as part of a collaborative team, you will help maintain the high standards our guests expect while developing your culinary skills within a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assist in cooking a variety of dishes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients
  • Assist with the preparation and service of meals for our restaurant, hotel guests, and private events
  • Support senior chefs with daily kitchen operations and food preparation
  • Ensure all food hygiene and safety standards are consistently met
  • Collaborate effectively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams
  • Maintain a clean and organised working environment

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience in a professional kitchen is preferred but not essential
  • Passion for food and willingness to learn and develop culinary skills
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude

  • Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and evenings
  • Access to own transport is essential due to the rural location

Working Hours

Full-time position with 8-hour straight shifts. Example shifts include: 6:30am–2:30pm, 8:00am–4:00pm, 1:00pm–9:00pm. Weekend work required on a rotational basis.
