Overview

Quality Assurance and Compliance Specialist role at Only About Children (OAC). This is a 12-month fixed-term position based at the St Leonards Support Office, focused on safeguarding children, ensuring compliance, and supporting services to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct compliance assessments across all NSW campuses, supporting services to meet or exceed the National Quality Framework (NQF).
  • Lead and support regulatory investigations into incidents, complaints, and reportable conduct matters.
  • Provide expert advice on child safety, compliance, and quality practices while fostering a collaborative approach with campus teams.
  • Embed Child Safe Standards and drive continuous improvement through coaching, training, and professional practice support.
  • Balance time between campus visits and reporting, analysis, and follow-up actions.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years\\\’ experience in early childhood education, ideally in a leadership or compliance role.
  • A strong understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to navigate sensitive investigations with empathy and integrity.
  • A collaborative style focused on supporting and empowering services to succeed.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage both fieldwork and reporting effectively.
  • Qualifications in Early Childhood Education and additional training in Child Protection (mandatory reporting) are highly regarded.
