The Role
We are looking for a Senior Operations Manager to join our Operations team to predominantly assist the Head of Operations in maintaining the smooth operation of a fast-moving environment. The Senior Operations Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of people across numerous functions, to ensure company’s targets and objectives are met to meet customer requirements, ensuring that staff comply with health, safety and standard operating procedures. Responsible for housekeeping standards and continuous improvement within the operation.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead numerous functions and oversee the stock accuracy, customer returns and pick face replenishment tasks.
- Coordinate Operations: Implement and monitor processes that support and improve the efficiency of the inbound & outbound function.
- Staff Management: Manage and monitor productivity, providing constructive feedback to all levels and coaching to enhance performance.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse environment.
- Performance Reporting: Prepare and submit performance reports, analysing operational data to identify areas for improvement.
- Problem Resolution: Address operational challenges and resolve any problems arising or complaints related to both the inbound & outbound operations.
- Continuous improvement: Always striving to improve the workplace environment, including developing people and implementing new ideas to enhance efficiency, compliance, and quality of service.
- Manage and provide guidance and oversight into operational support roles (e.g. Operations Coordinator), ensuring effective day-to-day delivery.
- Contribute to resource planning to ensure service delivery is aligned with demand and contractual requirements.
- Manage and optimise the use of containers and associated logistics to support efficient site operations.
- Assist on other projects as and when required.
What you’ll bring:
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt to changes and tackle challenges efficiently and effectively.
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail.
- A Diploma in Warehouse Operations or Supply Chain Management would be desirable.
- Previous Senior Management experience (Min. 5 years).
- Excellent knowledge of warehouse operations.
- Time management and organisation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using warehouse software and Microsoft Office.
