Our client is a scaffolding contractor based in the South East, currently looking for a Contracts Manager to cover London and home counties.

My client is searching for a Scaffolding Contracts Manager able to demonstrate experience in a similar role. Proven experience is essential to join a well-established team. The job is based in their Kent branch to assist with operations across the South East. My client has been established as one of the leading scaffolding contractors in the South of England, working alongside many of the UK’s leading main contractors.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

  1. To have the ability to carry out supervisor and estimator roles & responsibilities, demonstrated through previous experience.
  2. To take inquiries and respond efficiently, managing customer expectations.
  3. To provide specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements prior to commencement of works.
  4. Site surveying/estimating.
  5. Carry out Toolbox Talks.
  6. Assist Accounts with commercial settlement.
  7. Organise Labour and Logistics for various works on a daily basis, including updating work schedules.
  8. Monitor Handover procedures.
  9. Prepare price worksheets for payment.
  10. Attend Weekly/Monthly in-house meetings.
  11. Assist with business development.
  12. Always safeguard the Company’s interests.
  13. Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

About the Candidate:

  1. Previous experience in scaffolding management of small to large industrial, commercial, and domestic projects.
  2. Demonstrated previous experience in the scaffolding sector.
  3. Must hold CISRS Advanced card.
  4. SMSTS.
  5. NEBOSH construction would be an advantage.
  6. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  7. Sound knowledge of Health and Safety guidelines, including CDM regulations.
  8. Commercially aware.
  9. Strong leadership skills.
  10. Ability to manage and build strong working relationships.
  11. Excellent communication skills.
  12. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  13. Flexible self-starter with the ability to prioritize.
