Our client is an IT service provider focused on Information Security domains. They are currently seeking a System Engineer to be part of the team.
JOB DIMENSION (SCOPE)
- Responsible for managing, maintaining and providing support for system and network infrastructure including but not limited to upgrading, troubleshooting, monitoring, and reporting processes.
- Enable to follow and perform tasks according to established procedures and SOPs.
- Provide 1st and 2nd level support, ticketing creation, and incident/service request according to escalation matrix.
- On call standby of 24x7 rotation between department team members.
- Provide coordination for Data Centre facility works or other tasks including on-site standby or assignments.
- Manage and participate in IT Maintenance/Support outside office hours once a month and passive rotation of weekend standby.
- Perform systems monitoring using centralised management tool.
- Ensure availability of Data Centre services through performance monitoring and fine-tuning of monitoring parameters.
- Monitor backup job status and perform backup administration.
- Perform software distribution/system patching and generate patch status reports.
- Good communication skills and attentive to details as the job requires constant and active communication with customers or vendor IT supports.
- Facilitation of deployment on Critical Financial Systems.
REQUIREMENT
- Min Diploma in Information Technology or Computer Science.
- At least 1.5 years of relevant IT experience in Windows servers and Linux servers.
- Strong knowledge and skillset in Windows Active Directory.
- Basic knowledge in ESXi VMware infrastructure.
- Some knowledge in network infrastructure would be an added advantage including switches, wireless, and firewalls.
- Independent and resourceful in resolving and troubleshooting any problems or issues.
- Eager to learn and pick up new skills or knowledge.
- Team player and have good initiative.
