Our client is a well-established construction, property development and specialist engineering solutions provider. Currently, they are seeking a Project BIM Manager to be part of the team. The Project BIM Manager (PBM) is responsible for overseeing Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes and standards for large-scale or infrastructure projects. This role is focused on implementing BIM strategies, ensuring digital delivery, and coordinating 4D and 5D BIM models to integrate design, cost, and scheduling information effectively.
Job Dimension (Scope)
- Develop and maintain a project-specific BIM Execution Plan to define the BIM objectives, deliverables, responsibilities, and procedures for each project phase.
- Implement and enforce compliance with BIM standards and protocols (e.g., ISO 19650, PAS 1192) to ensure quality and consistency in model creation, data management, and coordination.
- Use BIM tools to coordinate the design among architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines, ensuring clash detection and resolution are carried out effectively.
- Facilitate collaboration and communication among project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure all stakeholders are aligned on the BIM processes and goals.
- Manage the creation, maintenance, and quality assurance of BIM models, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all project stages.
- Conduct regular clash detection exercises using tools like Navisworks Manage or Solibri Office to identify and resolve conflicts before construction.
- Establish and implement QA/QC processes for BIM deliverables, ensuring that models are compliant with the BEP and meet project requirements.
- Ensure that data within the BIM models is accurate, up-to-date, and securely managed, following digital information security protocols.
- Ensure that the as-built BIM model is accurate and complete, preparing it for handover to the facility management team or client with all necessary documentation.
- Generate regular reports on BIM model progress, clashes identified/resolved, and any design adjustments needed.
- Use software such as Navisworks, Synchro Pro, and Fuzor for enhanced project visualization, helping stakeholders understand project phases and resource allocation.
Job Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architectural, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- Certified with Specialist Diploma in Building Information Modelling (BIM) by BCA Academy and any BIM authoring software's modelling course by the software vendor's authorized training provider. Candidate certified with Digital Delivery Lead (DDM Tier 2) will also be considered.
- Minimum 8 years of working experience in design engineering, construction engineering or integrated digital (IDD) project management.
- Minimum 6 years of BIM experience as a BIM Project Level Manager role in large scale or infrastructure project.
- Completed at least one full cycle at design phase or construction phase.
- Integrate scheduling (4D BIM) and cost management (5D BIM) into the model using software such as Navisworks Manage, Synchro Pro, or CostX to visualize and control project timelines and costs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a project team.
