Our client is a well-established construction, property development and specialist engineering solutions provider. They are seeking a proactive and hands-on Assistant Manager, HR to support HR operations and contribute to strategic HR initiatives within the organization.

JOB DIMENSION (SCOPE)

  • Recruitment and Talent Acquisition
    • Support the development and execution of recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates.
    • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and onboarding.
    • Liaise with recruitment agencies, job portals, and educational institutions.
    • Monitor recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill and hiring costs.
  • Employee Relation & Engagement
    • Serve as a point of contact for employee enquiries and HR-related matters.
    • Support the handling of employee grievances, disciplinary cases, and conflict resolution.
    • Assist in organizing employee engagement activities and corporate events.
    • Promote positive workplace culture and employee satisfaction initiatives.
  • Performance Management & Development
    • Support the implementation of performance appraisal processes.
    • Coordinate training programs and monitor employee development plans.
    • Assist in identifying training needs and managing training records.
  • Compensation & Benefits Administration
    • Oversee payroll processing in collaboration with Finance or payroll vendors.
    • Administer employee benefits including insurance, medical claims, and leave management.
    • Ensure compliance with employment regulations and company policies.
    • Assist in salary benchmarking and compensation reviews.
  • HR Compliance & Administration
    • Ensure adherence to Singapore employment laws and statutory requirements.
    • Maintain accurate and updated employee records and HR documentation.
    • Support the review and enhancement of HR policies and procedures.
    • Assist in audits and regulatory reporting.
  • HR Operations & Reporting
    • Prepare HR reports and analyze key HR metrics.
    • Support HR projects including system enhancements, process improvements, and change initiatives.
    • Supervise and guide junior HR team members where applicable.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant HR experience, preferably within construction sectors.
  • Strong understanding of Singapore Employment Act and HR best practices.
  • Experience in payroll administration and employee relations.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Able to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
