Role Overview
This role is for a deeply hands-on Shopify engineer with strong experience across multiple parts of the Shopify ecosystem — from themes and storefront features to apps, extensions, functions, and headless implementations where needed. You will work on sophisticated eCommerce solutions that support high traffic, multiple markets, and demanding product requirements, with strong focus on performance, scalability, maintainability, and modern development standards.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain advanced Shopify storefront experiences using modern development practices
- Develop and customize Shopify themes with scalable architecture and reusable components
- Work across multiple areas of the Shopify ecosystem, including themes, apps, extensions, and platform capabilities
- Implement Shopify Functions, Pixels, and other advanced commerce features where relevant
- Contribute to headless or partially headless Shopify solutions when needed
- Build clean, maintainable frontend and backend solutions for high-performance eCommerce environments
- Collaborate with designers, architects, and product stakeholders in an Agile team
- Write documented, reliable code with strong attention to performance and maintainability
- Support deployment and engineering workflows through Git-based collaboration and CI/CD best practices
Required Experience

- Ideally the last 3–5 years focused on Shopify
- At least 4–5+ years of dedicated Shopify experience preferred
