If you like variety and getting out and about, being a Neighbourhood Officer is a brilliant role. It’s non-routine – no two days are the same. You’ll be out in the community managing your own patch, building relationships, supporting tenants, and making sure people feel safe and listened to.

The role includes:

  • Managing your own neighbourhood, working directly with customers in their homes and communities
  • Handling a real mix of casework, site visits, and customer interaction day to day
  • Working in partnership with internal teams, councils, and external agencies to resolve issues
  • Making decisions, prioritising your workload, and managing situations as they arise
  • Dealing with a range of situations, some of which can be complex or challenging

Skills required:

  • Strong customer focus and ability to work in partnership
  • Confidence to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Ability to build relationships and handle difficult conversations
  • Resilient, practical, and able to use sound judgement in real-life situations

We welcome candidates with experience beyond housing, including:

  • Family support or community-based roles
  • Mental health and wellbeing
  • Safeguarding
  • Domestic abuse services
  • Drug and alcohol support
  • Probation or similar environments

This role will build your skills — decision-making, resolving conflict, investigating issues, and managing relationships every day. You’ll have the autonomy to manage your own caseload, while being supported by a strong team around you. Your work will have visible impact — improving neighbourhoods, tackling issues, and making a real difference to people’s lives. It’s not always straightforward. Some days are tough, but you can genuinely make a difference.

We offer:

  • 30 days paid holiday plus bank holidays and your birthday off
  • Exceptional leave and 15 hours paid volunteering each year
  • Annual pay review
  • Mileage paid at 55p per mile and free parking
  • “No sick days” voucher
  • 9.5% pension contribution with Aviva and 3x salary life assurance
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity pay
  • Simply Health package, including support for you and your family

  • Senior Housing / Neighbourhood roles
  • ASB or enforcement specialist roles
  • Housing management leadership
