Position Summary
We’re seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join a dedicated engineering team. You’ll play a key role in ensuring machinery runs efficiently, production remains uninterrupted, and all work meets strict safety and quality standards.
What You’ll Do
- Respond to machinery breakdowns and prioritise repairs to minimise downtime
- Carry out safety checks and preventative maintenance at scheduled intervals
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and quality procedures
- Log all work accurately on the digital maintenance system (APP)
- Support stock control through correct storage and labelling of spare parts
- Identify remedial work following inspections or observations
- Deliver planned maintenance to a high standard and within deadlines
- Liaise with management regarding concerns or improvement opportunities
- Support team development through coaching and knowledge sharing
What You Bring
- Experience in maintenance engineering within manufacturing or production
- Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
- Knowledge of Health & Safety and compliance procedures
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
- Experience using digital maintenance systems (APP or similar)
- A proactive, problem‑solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- Level 3 qualification (or higher) in mechanical or electrical engineering
