Job Title: Operational Support Clerk – Education (Admin & Clerical) Location: Church Square House, DN15 6NL Salary: £12.85 p/h Contract Type: Temporary Hours: 37 per week, Monday–Friday, 08:30–17:00 Start Date: Monday, 6 October 2025 End Date: Friday, 19 December 2025 About the Role: We are looking for a reliable and organized Operational Support Clerk to join the Children & Families team. This role provides vital administrative support across education services, including reception duties, data management, minute-taking, and liaison with multi-agency partners. Key Responsibilities: Deliver an efficient and confidential switchboard and reception service, responding to enquiries from staff, the public, police, health, and education professionals. Provide administrative support such as typing, photocopying, mail handling, and document collation. Support meeting preparation, including scheduling, minute-taking, and follow-up actions. Maintain accurate records, databases, and management information systems. Handle cash and process invoices in line with financial procedures. Adhere to safeguarding protocols and maintain confidentiality at all times. Skills and Experience: Essential: Experience in general office duties (telephone, post, photocopying) Proficient in IT applications (Microsoft Office, databases, spreadsheets) Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritize workload and work under pressure Numerate and literate (GCSE or equivalent in Maths & English) Reliable, honest, and punctual Availability for immediate start and interview Desirable: Knowledge of Child Protection Minute-taking skills Experience producing documents from drafts Customer care experience Application Process: If shortlisted, we will be in touch within 1-2 working days to request additional documents including: Right to work documentation 2 references Completed registration pack Why Join Us?
