The IDV Architect will design a resilient, scalable and secure Identity Verification (IDV) architecture leveraging Microsoft Verified ID, Onfido, and modern authentication patterns. The role focuses on safeguarding user trust, reducing risk across identity journeys, and enabling seamless, secure recovery experiences for customers and colleagues.
Lead architectural definition across Proof of Concept, MVP, and full production delivery. Design end-to-end security and IDV architecture for POC, MVP, and production phases. Define secure user journeys for remote password reset, identity verification, and related authentication flows. Ensure full alignment with enterprise security standards, compliance requirements, and threat modelling outputs. Produce comprehensive architectural deliverables:
- High-Level Designs (HLD)
- Low-Level Designs (LLD)
- Architecture patterns
- Data flow diagrams
- Integration specifications
Provide architectural guidance to engineering teams throughout build, test, and implementation. Validate required security controls, ensuring they are properly implemented and tested.
Essential Experience
- Strong background in IAM, MFA, IDV, and secure authentication flows.
- Hands-on experience designing solutions using Microsoft Entra, Verified ID, Azure AD B2C/B2B, or equivalent enterprise identity platforms.
- Knowledge of biometric verification platforms, ideally Onfido.
- Proven ability to create high-quality architectural documentation.
Desirable Experience
- Experience designing architecture within financial services or other highly regulated environments.
- Exposure to privacy preserving identity models and decentralised identity.
- Understanding of DevSecOps, secure CI/CD processes, and API security best practice.
