Working closely with clinicians, patient administration teams, and external pathology providers, the service ensures investigations are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with the highest clinical and governance standards. About The Role
As an Imaging & Diagnostics Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the department’s administrative functions, acting as a key link between patients, clinicians, and diagnostic teams. You will provide a high standard of administrative support, ensuring that appointments, imaging requests, and clinical documentation are managed accurately and efficiently. You will be the first point of contact for patients attending imaging and diagnostic appointments, offering a warm, professional, and reassuring welcome. Your ability to communicate clearly, handle queries confidently, and provide excellent service will help create a positive patient experience from start to finish. Working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will manage imaging bookings, process referrals, upload and update patient records, and ensure results and reports are handled promptly and securely. Key Responsibilities
- Provide a warm, professional, and efficient front‑of‑house service for all imaging and diagnostics patients
- Manage bookings, appointment scheduling, and administrative coordination for diagnostic services
- Process referrals, imaging requests, and clinical documentation accurately and promptly
- Support patients with queries, providing clear information and reassurance where required
- Update and maintain electronic patient records and imaging systems to a high standard of accuracy
- Liaise effectively with clinicians, radiographers, sonographers, and wider operational teams
- Ensure timely distribution of imaging results, reports, and clinical correspondence
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with data protection and information governance standards
- Support daily operational and governance tasks, including stock checks and equipment tracking
- Assist with departmental projects, audits, and process improvements
- Work flexibly to support service delivery and changing operational needs
