About the Opportunity: My Client is looking to appoint a Quality Lead – Compliance & Assurance to support the ongoing development and improvement of its Education and Training provision. This is a newly refined position created following the restructure of a previously broader role into two dedicated positions, allowing for greater focus and effectiveness across the function. The role is newly created with the business ideally looking for someone to join by the end of June or early July, dependent on notice period. This is a highly hands-on opportunity suited to someone who enjoys being operationally involved, driving improvements, supporting teams, and making a visible impact across the business.

The Role: The Quality Lead – Compliance & Assurance will play a key role in maintaining and improving quality standards, compliance processes, and internal assurance activities across the organisation’s education provision. The role is very much focused on delivery and execution rather than delegation. The successful candidate will be expected to roll their sleeves up, work closely with internal teams, and actively contribute to the ongoing development of systems, processes, and quality standards.

The position would particularly suit someone with:

  • An operational background within education or training
  • Previous experience as an Assessor or Tutor
  • A blend of operational and quality/compliance exposure
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting and maintaining Quality Assurance and Compliance Standards across the business
  • Attending and supporting external quality visits
  • Providing guidance and support internally to Tutors and delivery teams
  • Ensuring processes and documentation remain compliant and fit for purpose
  • Supporting ongoing implementation and embedding of recently introduced systems and processes
  • Collaborating with internal departments and external partners
  • Leading and supporting a small team consisting of direct employees and freelance resource
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives across the quality function

Team Structure: The successful candidate will manage and support a small, experienced team made up of both permanent staff and freelancers. The existing team is knowledgeable, high performing, and well established.

Key Challenges & Focus Areas: Over the first 6–12 months, the main priorities and challenges are expected to include:

  • Change management
  • Supporting implementation and adoption of new systems
  • Gaining staff engagement and buy-in
  • Embedding processes and consistency across the function
  • Supporting the wider business through ongoing operational improvements

The business implemented a new system approximately six months ago, making this a positive time to join as training, process development, and system integration are still ongoing.

Ideal Candidate Profile: My Client is looking for someone who is:

  • Solution-focused and proactive
  • Hands-on and operationally minded
  • Firm but fair in their approach
  • Personable and collaborative
  • A confident communicator at all levels
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and with external partners
  • Someone who brings personality, character, and positive energy to the team

Knowledge or exposure to Ofsted would be beneficial, although not essential. Candidates who have previously operated as an Ofsted Nominee would be viewed very positively. Equally, someone open to developing into a Nominee position over the next 12–24 months would also be highly attractive.

Interview Process: Stage 1: Informal Teams interview. Stage 2: Face-to-face interview at the Coventry office.

If this role is well within your remit please forward an up to date cv for earliest consideration.
