The Challenge

DataGuidance is the premier platform in the globe for offering guidance on regulatory intelligence. With a network of 2000 expert content contributors across 300 jurisdictions, DataGuidance is a key product within the OneTrust platform, and we need a visionary content leader to drive our content strategy, quality, and innovation. We are seeking a Senior Manager for DataGuidance to join our dynamic and collaborative team and lead the charge for developing and optimizing our content strategy and operations. As a key player in our organization, you will be instrumental in defining the content vision, driving content innovation, and ensuring the success of our platform services.

Your Mission

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to guide the content team, strategy, and roadmap for DataGuidance. This role is critical in helping translate regulatory change into significant business impact projects. The ideal candidate will bring legal expertise to lead the creation of tools, resources, whitepapers, reports, and know-how articles, while also responding to client queries, providing product feedback, engaging in public speaking, and ensuring operational efficiency.

Responsibilities include:

  • Research and Regulatory Monitoring: Lead research and monitor regulatory developments and key drivers for practitioners in the fields of Privacy and AI governance, and Cyber Security.
  • Content Creation and Strategy: Lead the research department in the creation of new tools, resources, and products to support OneTrust DataGuidance's clients as well as the internal teams.
  • Team Leadership: Guide and support our high-performing team to scale the content and the platform, keeping DataGuidance at the forefront of customer requests, industry trends, and competitive landscape to continually improve our core product offering.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Manage projects across marketing, product, sales, and customer success teams to align content strategy with overall business objectives.
  • AI Integration: Leverage technology, such as AI, to allow team members to focus on high-value work and to enable new vertical growth opportunities.
  • Strategic Planning: Own the development of the content vision, develop and implement comprehensive content and tools strategies aligned with business goals, and create long-term content roadmaps and calendars.
  • Audience Development: Reach new target audiences across regulatory sectors and tailor content to their needs and preferences.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure regulatory updates and reports from leads and analysts are accurate and advance the house style and editorial process to meet customer needs.
  • Reporting and Communication: Report on and share data regarding global developments externally and across business functions.
  • Positioning and Messaging: Ensure support for positioning and messaging through a thorough understanding of the product, data privacy industry, audience, and key competitors.
  • Platform integration: Develop frameworks, structures, and projects to support deep integration with OneTrust’s platform.

You Are

A subject matter expert in privacy law and AI governance who can exercise independent and sound judgment. Drives continuous improvement through effective communication, team management, conflict resolution, and problem-solving. Demonstrates a keen appreciation for diverse perspectives within teams and values the input of all team members. Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills, adept at engaging stakeholders at all levels. Champions a customer-centric mindset and excels in translating customer needs into actionable content development. Empathizes deeply with customer needs and experiences. Demonstrates robust organizational capabilities and strong leadership skills. Exhibits exemplary communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Shows entrepreneurial ability to translate regulatory change into significant business impact projects.

Your Experience Includes

  • Advanced degree in law, politics, or any other humanities-based degree.
  • Minimum 10+ years privacy/data protection experience/knowledge.
  • Prior 3+ years’ experience managing a high-performing team of at least six employees.
  • 5+ years focusing on data protection and/or AI, including work with internal compliance teams.
  • Legal research experience with strong writing and proofreading skills.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools and coaching others on prompting and content development.
  • Ability to cross-functionally manage across several projects and teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and draw insights from it.
  • Ability to provide examples of published work covering the topics of privacy/AI/risk.

In this position, you will report to the Director of DataGuidance. Your work location will be in Madrid or London with the ability to travel to our US Hub office in Atlanta and other Hub or field offices as required.
